Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Aretic, the Aretic website, and related support services provided by DMLS. By using Aretic, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

Use of the app

Aretic is a personal nutrition tracking tool. It helps you capture meals, review estimates, correct records, and maintain a daily log. Aretic is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a qualified health professional.

Accounts and eligibility

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the information submitted through your account. Aretic is not intended for children under 13. If a higher minimum age applies where you live, that minimum age applies.

User content and license

You may submit text, photos, screenshots, voice notes, corrections, annotations, nutrition-label media, and other content to operate Aretic or get support. You keep ownership of your content, but you grant DMLS a limited license to host, process, analyze, extract structured product facts from, display, and use that content as needed to operate, improve, troubleshoot, and support Aretic. Verified structured product facts may also support exact product nutrition in CraveTwist after member, meal, media, OCR, and account linkage has been removed.

Nutrition data sources

Aretic may use public, licensed, commercial, and Aretic-owned structured nutrition references as supporting evidence, including USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, product labels, and other food composition or product-label sources. These sources may have their own accuracy limits, update schedules, and attribution requirements.

Aretic may store de-identified structured product-level nutrition-label facts extracted from clear member meal media separately from account photos and meal logs. Those facts may be reused inside Aretic or CraveTwist to improve exact product nutrition accuracy only when a later food has matching barcode or complete strict package identity. Product-name only, semantic-only, visual-only, and image-embedding matches do not authorize reuse.

Acceptable use and fair use

You may use Aretic for normal personal nutrition tracking. You may not abuse the service, automate excessive requests, interfere with systems, attempt unauthorized access, or submit content you do not have the right to provide. Operational protections are described in the Fair Use Policy.

Subscriptions and App Store terms

Purchases, subscriptions, renewals, trials, cancellations, and refunds may be handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple's terms, payment rules, and refund process may apply in addition to these terms.

Service changes and availability

Aretic may change over time. We may add, remove, limit, pause, or modify features to improve reliability, comply with law, protect the service, or focus the product. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Disclaimers and limits

Aretic is provided as-is and as-available. Nutrition estimates can be incomplete or wrong, and you are responsible for reviewing and correcting your records. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Aretic and DMLS disclaim implied warranties and limit liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Termination

You may stop using Aretic at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if needed to protect the service, enforce these terms, respond to legal requirements, or prevent abuse.
