Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how DMLS handles information for Aretic, the Aretic website, and support requests. If you have questions, email support@aretic.app.

Information the app may collect

• Account information used to sign in and operate the service.
• Nutrition log content, including meals, ingredients, portions, corrections, notes, photos, videos, voice notes, and text entries.
• App activity needed to process requests, prevent abuse, debug issues, and maintain the service.
• Optional Apple Health or health-context data only when you grant permission through iOS.
• Support submissions, which may include screenshots, annotations, photos, voice notes, and written context that you choose to send.
• Optional email-update preferences and contact email information when you choose to receive Aretic product updates.

AI processing and service providers

Aretic uses server-side systems and third-party providers to interpret meal inputs, generate estimates, support corrections, store records, process subscriptions, and keep the service reliable. We use providers only as needed to operate and support Aretic.

If you opt into product update emails, Aretic may use Loops or a similar email provider to manage email delivery, preferences, and unsubscribe handling. Those providers receive only the contact and preference information needed to send and manage those emails, not meal logs, Apple Health data, nutrition history, or AI usage traces.

How information is used

• To create, explain, correct, and display nutrition logs.
• To maintain account access, support subscriptions, and respond to support requests.
• To detect abuse, protect service reliability, and troubleshoot bugs.
• To improve product quality using aggregated or operationally necessary information.
• To send optional Aretic product update emails only when you opt in, with unsubscribe and preference controls available.

Sharing

We do not sell personal nutrition logs. We may share information with service providers that help operate Aretic, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer if the service is reorganized.

Retention and deletion

Aretic keeps information for as long as needed to operate the service, support your account, satisfy legal or billing obligations, prevent abuse, and maintain auditability. When you request deletion, records may enter a pending-delete window before final removal. Some limited information may be retained where required for billing, abuse prevention, security, or legal reasons.

Analytics and cookies

This website is intended to be simple and static. If analytics, cookies, or additional tracking are added later, this policy should be updated before publication to identify those tools and choices.

Children, international users, and security

Aretic is not intended for children under 13. If you use Aretic outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where service providers operate. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Changes and contact
